Your Chalet Booking

Bookings are subject to availability at the time of request. The lead booker must be 18 years of age and no groups will be permitted without at least one adult of this age.  We have the right to refuse any booking made prior to the issue of your written confirmation and if we do this we will inform you in writing and promptly refund any money you have paid. When the holiday confirmation is received the details must be checked carefully and if anything is incorrect, you should inform us immediately.

Payment

When you book your chalet you pay a deposit to confirm your booking. We then send you email confirmation showing your booking details. The balance of your holiday costs must be received no later than 4 weeks before the booking commences. On any chalet booked less than 4 weeks before the start of the booking, the full  payment is required at the time of booking. All chalets include booking fees, charges and VAT at 20%. Should VAT increase or any Government bodies introduce additional taxes or levies which affect the price of your holiday we reserve the right to pass on any increases.

Cancellations or Changes (Sandhaven Chalets)

We would not expect to have to make any changes to your chalet arrangements, but if we do have to make alterations we will contact you as soon as possible and inform you of any cancellation or charge. If we have to change something or we have to cancel your original booking we will (if possible) arrange alternative accommodation. If the change or the alternative accommodation is acceptable, you must inform us within 48 hours of being advised of the change or proposed alternative accommodation, otherwise, we will treat your booking as cancelled and refund any money you have paid to us. We shall not be liable for changes, cancellations or any other effect on your holiday, in such cases we will refund any money you have paid to us.

Cancellation or changes to your booking

If you want us to amend your holiday arrangements once we have issued your booking confirmation, this will not be charged but should be done as soon as possible. No amendments can be made within 14 days of arrival.

If you have to cancel your booking you should email us as soon as possible. Deposits are non-refundable and a cancellation charge may be payable depending on the number of days before the booking, the cancellation is requested. The table below outlines cancellation charges that will be owed if you have paid the balance of the chalet cost and then have to cancel. For the purpose of this table, chalet cost means the total cost of your booking.

COVID-19

If government restrictions mean we are unable to accommodate you for your stay, we will amend the date of your stay free of charge. If your new date falls in to a higher season price category, the additional cost will be payable. If the new date falls in to a lower season price category, you will be refunded the difference.

If you have to cancel your stay due to self-isolation or testing positive, your holiday will be moved to an alternative date.

Your Chalet

You can arrive at your accommodation after 2pm or 3pm during Summer Holidays. Early check in can sometimes be arranged subject to availability.

If you fail to arrive by midday on the day after the start date and you do not advise us of your late arrival, we may treat the booking as cancelled by you.

You agree to keep the chalet clean and tidy and leave the property in a similar condition. You are responsible for the costs of any breakages or damage to the property. You cannot allow more people to stay in the chalet than stated on the website. You must allow us access at any reasonable time during your stay. Smoking is not allowed in the chalets. Dogs are only permitted in chalets 5, 10 and 11 and should be disclosed during booking.

Complaints

If you are disappointed by your chalet you should contact us as soon as possible and we will try to rectify any problems immediately. If you are not satisfied, you should, within 7 days of the end of your stay, put your comments in writing. We recommend that these are sent by email or recorded delivery so that we can give them attention as quickly as possible.

Law

The Chalet contract between you and us is subject to English Law.

Your Rights

Your statutory rights are not affected by anything contained within these Conditions of Hire.
